Last Thursday, September 9th, the Kentucky General Assembly passed a bill allowing school districts local decision-making regarding the mask mandate.
A special called meeting was held Tuesday, September 14th by the Graves County Board of Education. The board voted to keep our current protocols in place, continuing to require masks in all school buildings and buses. The decision was informed by the county’s current Covid-19 positivity rate, local health department recommendations, and quarantine guidelines that must be followed.
Our goal remains the same, to safely provide in-person instruction to our students by limiting the opportunities for large school-related quarantines.
